How I deal with homesickness in 3 ways


When we enter a university, most of us leave home and move to a different city or country that is unfamiliar to us. While everything we should do by ourselves and try to get used to being independent, With a lot of activities that we do alone, sometimes we deal with feeling homesick. Homesickness itself is a feeling when we miss our home and family. I know this feeling; it's not an easy thing to face. That's why I decided to share things that I do when I feel homesick. FYI, I'm feeling homesick right now. So let's dive into the first tip.

1. Do activities that I like. This means I do things that help me increase my mood. Because all of us have a different hobby, make sure you adjust it to your own. For example, my hobbies are drawing, writing, and reading. When I get homesick, I'll do one of these activities.

2. Cleaning my roomCleaning my room makes an effective tip for me to divert my feelings of homesickness because when I do this activity, I'll be busy with the things that exist in front of me. So guys, I think you should try this too.

3. Call my familySo if the two tips that I mentioned before have been followed but the feeling of homeickness still exists, I'll call my family to ask how they are. Talking with them even through my cellphone will decrease my homesickness.

Alright, those are the tips that I use when I feel homesick. Feeling homesick is indeed unpleasant, but from here we can learn to better manage our emotions. Try to be realistic and focus on the positive. Thank you for reading, and see you in another blog.
